Madeline Bottari President
Madeline Bottari brings more than 25 years technology experience
managing her own consulting business where she was engaged
by senior executives to lead cross-functional strategic business
initiatives in both Fortune 1000 and SMB environments. Prior
to joining Varsity, Ms. Bottari was with Equinix, the leading
global provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet
exchange services. Prior to starting her consulting business,
Ms. Bottari held a number of senior management positions within
the Customer Service, Finance, and IT organizations at Pacific
Bell Directory.
George Norton Director of Development
George Norton has more than 25 years of experience developing
software, from automated payroll systems to transportation
management solutions. Prior to coming to Varsity, he was an
independent software developer and consultant. He earned his
Bachelors and Masters degrees in Industrial Engineering from
Stanford University.
Douglas Dolge Senior Director Product Development
Doug Dolge brings 30 years in IT systems and product development experience. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for planning and executing development projects as well as creating and managing strategic IT plans. Doug has developed and managed ERP and Supply Chain systems with a major emphasis on the IBM System i platform. From 1992 to 2000, Doug held various IT management positions at Dexter Corporation. Subsequently, Doug managed all enterprise system development at Jameco Electronics, Inc. He holds a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin .
Chris Anderson Senior Director of Customer Services
Chris has spent 13 years in the transportation and information technology sector. Before joining Varsity, Chris was a Product Manager at a web-based international logistics company called Capstan Systems (now Qiva). Chris' career began at Armstrong World Industries where he worked
in various manufacturing planning and transportation roles. He moved to UPS Logistics, where he specialized in international logistics and transportation
management services. He then spent over 4 years at DHL Worldwide Logistics leading various international logistics projects and global implementations.
Julian Thomas Director of Product Management
Mr. Thomas' responsibilities at Varsity include overseeing
the development of all Varsity software products. He has over
13 years in high tech product management. Before joining Varsity,
he was Director of Product Management at net.com. He earned
his BA from UC San Diego and an MBA from UC Davis with a Technology
& Marketing emphasis.
Andrew Karpie Senior Director,
Business Development
Andrew Karpie brings over 15 years of experience as a manager,
consultant, and entrepreneur in various software and information
services businesses. His expertise includes strategy, corporate
and business development, marketing and product management,
and finance. In the early 1990s, Andrew was Director of Strategic
Business and Product Development at ADP Claims Solutions.
Since the mid-1990s, Andrew has been engaged in enhancing
the growth of various business application, analytics, and
other IS companies including RSI Group, Inc. (acquired by
London Bridge Software, plc), NAREX (acquired by Fair Isaac),
and Tivella, Inc. (acquired by Cisco), and others. He holds
a Master of Science degree in Economics/Statistics from Carnegie
Mellon University.
