Job Title: Senior Field Services Engineer
Responsibilities:
The SFE is responsible for the implementation of Varsity's
software at client sites.
- Develop client implementation plan and task list
- Obtain customer sign-off on implementation task list
- Implement, configure, and test Varsity software at customer
sites
- Train users on basic features and functionality of Varsity
software
- Design and create custom software, if required, including
interface modifications
- Identify sales issues and opportunities and report these
effectively to the Director of
Professional Services
- Report customer software enhancement requests to product
management
- Report customer software problems to help desk management
- Follow-up with customer to ensure their satisfaction
- Formally complete the implementation process and review
this with the Director of
Professional Services
- Educate and transition the customer to the technical support
team
Additional Skills:
- 5+ years RPG programming experience required
- 3 years consulting experience required
- Experience with ERP or Transportation Management Systems
(TMS) required
- Must be willing to travel approximately 75% of the time
- High level of customer sensitivity and exceptional customer
interfacing skills
- College graduate preferred
